In 2015, Yasin was appointed as the District Magistrate of Koderma, Jharkhand. During his tenure, he focused on improving the living conditions of the marginalized communities, promoting education, and improving healthcare facilities in the district.

In 2017, Yasin was transferred to Delhi and was appointed as the Deputy Commissioner of the North Delhi Municipal Corporation. He played a key role in implementing various welfare schemes for the urban poor and improving the infrastructure of the city.

In 2019, Yasin was appointed as the District Magistrate of South West Delhi. During his tenure, he focused on improving the cleanliness and sanitation in the district, promoting environmental sustainability, and ensuring the safety and security of the residents.
