Sachin Kumar Vaishya is an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from the 2006 batch of the Uttar Pradesh cadre. He is known for his exceptional work in the field of public service, and his innovative approach to tackling issues.
Sachin Kumar Vaishya was born on May 10, 1981, in the small town of Ghazipur in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. He completed his schooling in Ghazipur and went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree from Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi. After completing his graduation, Sachin Kumar Vaishya went on to study law at BHU and completed his LLB degree in 2003.
After completing his studies, Sachin Kumar Vaishya began his career as a civil servant with the Indian Revenue Service (IRS) in 2004. He worked in the Income Tax Department for a year before clearing the IAS examination in 2006. He was then appointed as a Deputy Commissioner in the district of Sitapur in Uttar Pradesh.
During his tenure as Deputy Commissioner, Sachin Kumar Vaishya initiated several innovative programs to improve the quality of life for people living in the district. One such program was the “Chhota Bheem Bal Vatika,” which was aimed at providing a safe and fun environment for children to play and learn. He also initiated a “Zero Garbage City” program to ensure proper waste management in the district.
Sachin Kumar Vaishya’s efforts were recognized by the government, and he was awarded the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration in 2010. He has also been awarded the National e-Governance Award for his work in the area of e-governance.
