With a strong focus on strategic partnerships, Adamolekun has successfully collaborated with various companies and holds a major share in Paulson & Co, an investment group. In 2019, Paulson & Co, along with TriArtisan Capital Advisors, acquired P.F. Chang for $700 million from private-equity firm Centerbridge Partners. Adamolekun’s expertise in driving strategic initiatives has played a pivotal role in ensuring the success of P.F. Chang.

Before assuming the position of CEO at P.F. Chang, Adamolekun had an impressive background in finance. He worked in the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs and served as a Private Equity Associate at TPG Capital. Additionally, he holds positions on the Board of Directors for companies like International Tower Hill Mines, P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, NuLeaf, and Inday.

Under Adamolekun’s leadership, P.F. Chang has undergone several transformative changes to enhance the customer experience. These changes include redesigning the dining rooms, revising the menu items, and incorporating delivery and to-go orders, which were not traditionally associated with the brand. Adamolekun recognized the need to improve the overall dining experience by addressing factors like lighting, music, and décor, ensuring that customers have a memorable and enjoyable time at P.F. Chang.

Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, P.F. Chang experienced significant growth under Adamolekun’s guidance. In 2021, the company witnessed a remarkable 31.7% increase in sales compared to the previous year, according to data from Technomic, a sister firm of Restaurant Business.

In an interview with Insider, Adamolekun shared insights into his daily routine. He starts his day at 6:00 a.m. by reviewing reports from his home office. Adamolekun carefully examines the daily flash reports, which provide details on restaurant operating performance, and takes note of any observations or questions to discuss with the Chief Operating Officer later in the morning.

Adamolekun’s educational background further complements his impressive career achievements. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics from Brown University, where he was a member of the Ivy League champion Brown Football team and served as the President of the Brown Investment Group. He later pursued a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School, where he held the position of Portfolio Manager for the HBS Investment Club.
