Nderi Gachagua Wangombe is a prominent Kenyan politician who currently serves as the Member of Parliament for Mathira Constituency. He is affiliated with the Kenya Kwanza Alliance and is the running mate of William Ruto in the 2022 Kenyan general election.

Born on 15 May 1962 in Mathira, Nyeri County, Kenya, Gachagua received his secondary education at St. Patrick’s High School in Nyeri. He then pursued a degree in law at the University of Nairobi, graduating with a Bachelor of Laws in 1986.

Following his graduation, Gachagua practiced law for several years before venturing into politics. He successfully contested the Mathira Constituency seat in the 2002 general election and has since been re-elected in the 2007, 2013, and 2017 general elections.
