Professor Itsejuwa Esanjumi Sagay (SAN) is a renowned Nigerian legal luminary, academic, and human rights activist. He was born on the 20th of December in the year 1946 in Warri, Delta State, Nigeria. Sagay attended King’s College, Lagos, before proceeding to the University of Ibadan, where he obtained a Bachelor of Law degree in 1967. He went further to bag a Master of Law degree from the same University. He rounded off his legal education at the prestigious Downing College, Cambridge, where he was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Law.

Career

In his early legal career, Professor Sagay worked as a Lecturer in the Faculty of Law at the University of Benin.
